From our well-equipped Training Centres in Germiston and Brackenfell we train apprentices, upskill artisans, and coach operators in first fine and autonomous maintenance. We conduct trade tests for fitters, fitters and turners, electricians and millwrights at our Germiston Trade Test Centre.
Optimum Engineering has chosen to specialise in training operators, apprentices and artisans in the FMCG manufacturing environment. Our customer base already includes Tiger Brands, Nestlé, PepsiCo, ABInBev, RFG, Libstar, Clover and Heineken Beverages.
Our managers and training specialists have many years of experience in the food and beverage manufacturing and packaging environment.
As a subsidiary, Optimum Engineering has its own B-BBEE level 2 status.

ARTISAN RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Employees with a minimum of three years trade experience are evaluated against the relevant Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning Toolkit to determine their readiness for a trade test for the following trades:

- Mechanical fitters, fitters and turners, electricians, millwrights and instrumentation technicians are trained at our Engineering Training Centre in Gauteng, Germiston.
