Demonstrating agility in supply chain training
It has been quite a year – the agility, adaptability and flexibility of our supply chains have been tested like never before. All sectors of our economy have been impacted by COVID-19 and we have had to adjust, re-plan and re-align. Technology, and the use of technology, has become the key focus in managing and running our businesses. The education and training sector is no exception.
Adapting to online learning
Even though the change was quite sudden, our customers supported and embraced the live online learning classes. Having run blended classrooms with online learning support for the last six years, we were happy to make the move to a fully live online experience. It was quite a daunting challenge at first, but the hard work paid off, and it has been a great success. Classes now take place more frequently, at least once a week, allowing us to keep momentum, and monitor and support our learners.
For the first time we have been able to offer our structured classes to a wider cross-section of learners from various geographical regions. Learners are now able to engage and network with other like-minded supply chain and procurement professionals.
Enthusiasm, determination and commitment
We are extremely proud of what we and our learners have achieved over this challenging period, and this can only be attributed to the enthusiasm, determination and commitment of both the learners and The Procurement & Logistics Academy team. The learner results and exceptional throughput rates across all our offerings, in particular the APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), APICS Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM) and CIPS Diploma programmes, bear testament to this commitment.
